Sunday Supper with Dr. Makeba & Friends — A Monthly Supper Club in Metro Atlanta

Around the World, One Table at a Time

A monthly supper club in Metro Atlanta, with one table of 12 and food from a different corner of the world each month.

When did a dinner last nourish your soul?

You're invited.

If living free or being well matters to you, there's a seat at this table.

Wellness and freedom both come in many forms, whether that means caring for your body, tending your spirit, building a life on your own terms, or simply making more room for joy and ease. We're gathering people who care about these things in their own ways, because that is where the best conversations begin.

Each month we set one table with food from a different corner of the world — from Indian and Moroccan to French, Thai, and well beyond. We make room for real stories and the kind of conversation that turns strangers into friends. Come on your own or bring a friend.

The Sunday Supper Club

Come hungry and stay a while.

A Sunday place to gather

A table that starts to feel like yours

There's comfort in knowing you have somewhere to be on a Sunday, with a table already set and people who make room for you. Each month brings something new to taste and a few more familiar faces to greet, and the more you come, the more this table starts to feel like yours.

Coming up

Sunday Supper gathers monthly, and every table travels somewhere new, holidays included. Two special tables are already on the calendar:

  • FriendsgivingSunday, November 22, 2026 · 4:00–6:00 p.m.
  • Holiday GatheringSunday, December 20, 2026 · 4:00–6:00 p.m.

Our Friendsgiving swaps the turkey and dressing for somewhere different and delicious, and keeps all the gratitude and good company of the holiday.

Each supper is ticketed separately.

What your ticket includes

One ticket, everything on the table

Your $99 ticket covers a curated meal from that month's featured cuisine. Most suppers begin with shared appetizers and finish with shared desserts, and some restaurants bring out a full tasting menu, so whatever the format, you'll leave well fed. Your ticket also covers an alcohol-free welcome beverage, plus tax and gratuity on the included meal. For anything on the set menu, there's no check at the end of the evening.

Anything outside the set menu, including alcoholic drinks and additional beverages or dishes, is ordered and paid for directly with the restaurant. Parking may cost extra depending on the venue.

What to expect

An unhurried evening, hosted with care

Sunday Supper is a hosted dinner where conversation finds its own pace. There's no agenda to follow and nothing to prepare. You'll arrive to a table that's already set, enjoy a meal chosen for the group, and spend a couple of unhurried hours with people who are curious about the world and about one another.

Good company is part of the evening. Sunday Supper works because everyone at the table feels welcome. Bring your curiosity and your kindness, and we'll take care of the rest. To protect that feeling for every guest, the host may decline future reservations for anyone whose behavior makes others uncomfortable.

Your host

Dr. Makeba Morgan Hill

Dr. Makeba spent more than 25 years bringing people together across healthcare, higher education, and philanthropy, with leadership roles at Emory University, Piedmont Healthcare, and The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Today, she’s an international speaker, a four-time Amazon bestselling author, a retreat curator, and the founder of Dr. Makeba & Friends, where she creates spaces for connection and whole-person wellness.

She’s a mom to one grown daughter and a proud empty nester. Precious and Koko now run the house, while Tom, her senior kitty, keeps a wise eye on everyone. Having traveled to five continents, she loves discovering a place through its food and the stories people share around the table. Sunday Supper brings that love of good food, conversation, and new friends to an Atlanta table.

"Some of the most nourishing moments of my life have happened around a table, when good food slowed everyone down long enough to really see one another. Sunday Supper is my way of setting that table on purpose, and I'd love for you to have a seat."

Frequently asked questions

Absolutely. You're welcome to come solo or with a friend, and each guest needs their own reservation.

No. Sunday Supper welcomes people of all genders. If you love discovering food from around the world and sharing good conversation with people in your community, there's a place for you at the table.

If living free or being well matters to you, you'd like to meet new people in Atlanta without the small talk or business-card swapping, you're curious about the world and new flavors, or you simply want one Sunday a month to be a guest, there's a seat for you. If you saw yourself in even one of these, this table is for you.

At a restaurant in Metro Atlanta. Registered guests receive the restaurant name, address, and arrival details about one week before the supper.

Not at this time. Each monthly supper is ticketed on its own, so you can join us once or every month. We're exploring packages for multiple suppers, and founding guests will hear about them first.

October's supper is our very first, and the 12 guests who join us will help shape what Sunday Supper becomes. After the evening we'll ask what you loved and what you'd like more of. As a thank-you, founding guests get first pick of Friendsgiving seats before they open to everyone else, and they'll be the first to hear about any multi-supper packages we offer down the road.

Only if you order something outside the set menu, such as alcohol or an extra dish. Your ticket already covers the included meal, welcome beverage, tax, and gratuity.

Vegetarians are always well looked after, since your host is primarily vegetarian too. We ask each restaurant about vegan dishes as well. For gluten-free or other strict diets, please email us at drmakeba@living4.love before booking to discuss.

Come comfortable and polished for a Sunday dinner, in whatever lets you feel at ease and enjoy the evening.

Sunday, October 18, or sooner if all 12 seats are filled.

Ticket sales are final and nonrefundable. If you can't make it, you're welcome to pass your seat to a friend or sell it to someone who'd love to come. Just email drmakeba@living4.love with their name so we can update the reservation.

If we need to reschedule, you can keep your seat for the new date or request a full refund, whichever suits you. If we cancel, you'll receive a full refund.
